The Paradox of Christ’s Call to Greatness

Jesus called them together and said, “25 You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:25-28)

Teach students to treat their neighbors with love and respect as unique individuals created in God’s image (Matthew 5:44; John 14:21; 1 Corinthians 13:4,5; 1 John 3:18; Ephesians 5:21).

Enable students to acknowledge their full academic potential as they build good study skills and habits (Isiah 28:26; 2 Timothy 2:3-7).

Encourage students to develop Biblical perspectives for personal and social relationships (Psalms 119:9; Luke 10:27; 1 Thessalonians 4:6).

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enroll my child at SLCA?

To enroll a student for full-day or half-day programs, parents need to show a devout interest in the nature, purpose, and programs of SLCA and have a genuine desire that their children receive a Christian education. SLCA offers a “rolling admission,” that gives the parents the flexibility to enroll their student(s) at any time during the school year.

Does SLCA offer online programs?

Servant Leaders Christian Academy (SLCA) provides BJU Press Christian Classroom Online (CCO) and synchronous project-based learning (PBL) integrating language arts, science, social studies, math, and Bible. The combination of these instructional methods in a virtual setting encourages students to be accountable, innovative, and creative in their academic development. Teachers, as servant leaders, are responsible for providing Biblical worldview lessons and accountable for planting, watering, and tending in order for students to harvest the fruit of knowledge and understanding in Christ.

Does SLCA provide extracurricular activities?

The following is a listing of SLCA’s extracurricular activities:

  • Chapel
  • Student Council
  • “I Can Serve” (Volunteering Projects)
  • SLCA Character Club
  • Virtual Field Trips (i.e., aquarium, zoo, and traveling to a variety of countries and locations)
  • Craft/Art Club
  • Cooking/Baking Club
  • Show and Tell
  • Christmas Performance/Talent Show
Does SLCA plan on opening a hybrid school for next school year?

SLCA is opening a new small campus in Wisconsin for the academic year 2021-2022 and prayerfully planning to establish additional small campuses throughout the nation for the upcoming school years. As we consider our future campuses, it is our hope that we can find locations that are populated with families who are interested in joining our mission to both teach and serve students. As attendance grows we will be able to find larger campuses to fit the need. Please reach out to us if you want to discuss more regarding where a new campus should be located and developed and also if you feel led to join us in any capacity. We would love to hear your heart on this matter.

Three ways you can help

Get involved! Parents are the biggest influencers of their young children. Let them know that their education is important. Enrolling them at SLCA shows your priorities for them.

Share your story! Word of mouth is the best way for families to learn about what we offer at SLCA. Your story can help others find us.

Invest in our students! Your donation toward SLCA students supports our pledge that families will not be turned away for financial reasons possible.

Families want their children to have the best opportunities. A quality educational experience is one of the most important tools for achieving life goals. Families can rely on our promise to make Christian education affordable, today and in the future.

Our schools provide 90% tuition assistance for our students — all of our students.

This is the core of our promise to provide quality Christian education for K-12 students.

Loving by Serving (LBS) intends to open the doors of Christian education to all children and youth who want to experience the quality, warmth, faith, hope, love, and rigor it entails. Although our foundation and our school are new, they have been in our hearts and minds, and on our drawing board for quite some time now. Years of planning and research demonstrated the need for affordable Christian schools and led us to believe that many families would love to provide their children with this kind of education.

Receiving our nonprofit status in February of 2019, LBS has steadily and successfully worked towards our goal of funding Christian education. Cicindelae (DBA OrangeShine) donated 90% of its stock shares to LBS in March of 2021. This generous major gift, along with the commitments of our private donors, ensures our ongoing financial sustainability.
