We are excited to announce new career opportunities at Servant Leaders Christian Academy. SLCA is a Christ-centered educational setting for students in grades 1-12, located in Milton, Wisconsin. We are currently hiring a full-time elementary school teacher and a paraprofessional. Candidates must feel compatible with the school’s philosophy, mission, vision, and goals. Elementary School Teacher

Our school is growing and so is our need for qualified teachers. If you meet the following requirements, we would love for you to apply for an elementary school teacher position. Expectations for SLCA Teachers

In addition to classroom duties, SLCA teachers assist in school programs and extracurricular activities, work with the administration to keep parents adequately informed of student discipline, and integrate Biblical principles and perspectives throughout all curricula from a Biblical worldview.

Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, with a teaching certificate, and at least three years of teaching experience. Candidates must be able to explain and support the school’s philosophy, mission, vision, and goals. They must have the heart to love and care for students.

Successful candidates will demonstrate their ability to:

  • step in based on students’ needs (e.g., counseling students and their families, supporting students with social, emotional, and/or behavioral difficulties, and serving culturally and linguistically diverse students)
  • teach both in-person and remotely in a flexible educational atmosphere
  • provide classroom instruction in Grades 1-8 depending on grade level (e.g., elementary level and/or secondary level)
  • facilitate the BJU Christian Classroom Online (CCO) while providing project-based assessments
  • maintain clear, open, and professional communication with parents
  • be willing to participate in professional development
  • proactively engage but be flexible

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Teaching certificate
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience
  • 1 personal reference/ 2 work references, including name, address, relationship, and phone number
  • Written testimony on how you came to know Jesus (1-2 paragraphs)
