Project-based learning is a wonderful instructional method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an engaging challenge. One recent example was the homeless project of which a student-created and explains the processes and costs associated with homeless shelter programs. Another project included learning about endangered sea animals and advocating what we can do to reverse their risk. Project-based learning is a great experience for SLCA students to work together to create projects to share with an audience.
