SLCA Virtual

A Loving and Supportive Christian Education

Are you looking for an affordable, Christ-centered education for your child that will help them grow academically, socially, and spiritually and give them a solid foundation to become servant leaders? The SLCA Virtual Campus welcomes families from anywhere in the United States, as well as from different countries, for online courses taught in English with live support and supervision from our caring teachers and staff. SLCA offers full-time and part-time options depending on students’ needs.

Full-time students take courses through the BJU Press Christian Classroom Online (CCO) curriculum, alongside project-based learning (PBL) activities in which students investigate real-world problems. Through project-based learning, students have the opportunity to use a hands-on approach, collaborate with each other, present their findings to the class, and develop communication skills. Read more about PBL.

Students also participate in online club activities (e.g., virtual field trips to other countries, the I Can Serve Club, craft time, and PE), weekly chapel, and SLCA events (e.g., a Christmas performance and party, talent show, science experiments, and other special activities).

Some students who are homeschooling can benefit from our part-time project-based learning and extracurricular activities (see above) without taking the core classes from BJU Press.

Part-time students are also invited to join us for chapel, socializing and learning together with teachers and peers through interactive lessons and prayer times.

Educating the Whole Child

SLCA also uses ClassDojo, a virtual classroom communication platform, to encourage students to reach higher academic achievements, share student work and fun updates with parents, and to incorporate social-emotional topics like perseverance, empathy, gratitude, teamwork, and positive thinking.

We provide a loving environment for our students to grow and excel, while addressing the physical, artistic, social, and emotional aspects of a student’s education.

Much more than just a virtual campus, we encourage students to serve their family, local community, and God. Our nonprofit, Loving by Serving, funds 90% of the tuition for each student in our commitment to accessible Christian education.
