SLCA Milton (Whitewater)

A Compassionate Learning Environment

We are partnering with a beautiful family in Whitewater, Wisconsin, to provide hands-on, one-on-one support in the comfort of their home. Nestled in a gorgeous wooded area with an on-site pool for physical therapy and various creative resources for learning and development, the family has been praying to make this property a place of refuge and healing where children feel the love of God.

Our special education teacher, Meagan Mitchell, works with the children using a multimodal approach (incorporating visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and reading/writing strategies), project-based learning, and meeting individualized goals. She also integrates music, art, and social-emotional learning to care for the needs of each child.

We can’t wait to share updates and stories soon, so be sure to check back!

Meagan Mitchell

SLCA Teacher

Hello! My name is Meagan Mitchell. I am a wife, a mom of three amazing boys, and the Special Education Teacher and Special Education Coordinator at SLCA. My passion has always been partnering with students and families within the special needs community. I love helping people become the best version of themselves and I believe every student can learn in their own unique way. It’s just up to us as educators to help them get there! Providing different hands-on learning opportunities is something I value.
